Becoming
a Sponsor
TOS is a non-profit organization
providing a community service for the educational and cultural
enrichment of the Tampa Bay area since 1967. TOS presents a mix
of major choral concerts and "companion concerts" in
outlying sections of Hillsborough County each
year. Although the group is comprised of volunteers who purchase
their own music and concert attire and pay for their own travel,
expenses include the purchase of orchestral scores and payment
of professional musicians, usually from the Florida Orchestra.

Ticket sales account for more than half of the
group's
revenue, but the sponsorship of civic and culturally minded
corporations and individuals is a major factor in TOS's
continued existence.
Here are some of the ways that you or
your company can become a sponsor: |
|
|
|
Concert Sponsorship
- A major corporate contribution that covers a significant
portion of a concert. This usually ranges from a partial
sponsorship of $2,000 to full sponsorship in the $8,000 -
$10,000
range. With these levels of support, all concert publicity will
prominently mention the sponsor as presenting the performance.
Full sponsorship implies sole sponsorship of the concert, and as
such the sponsor will be the only corporate support mentioned in
public releases. Partial sponsors share this publicity. Typical
publicity for a concert includes: |
|
|
|
|
News releases on local radio stations |
|
|
Flyers sent to > 150 local media companies for inclusion in their
events listings |
|
|
Flyers sent to > 200 local churches |
|
|
Posters placed at many locations throughout the
Tampa Bay area |
|
|
Program inserts
|
|
|
Newspaper advertisements |
Also, a number of free tickets will be made available to the
sponsor for use by employees or as a donation to a local civic
organization. In the case of full sponsorship, a portion of the
proceeds can be donated to a charity of the sponsor's choice.
Support via the "Choralmasters" organization - Choralmasters is a support organization
specific to the Tampa Oratorio Singers. It consists of several
levels of support:
|
Producer's Circle
Director's Circle
Golden Choralier
Silver Choralier
Choralier
Member |
$ 2,500 or more
$ 1,000 or more
$ 500 or more
$ 250 or more
$ 100 or more
$ 25 or more |
|
Each of these patrons is listed in the entire season's programs.
In addition, the levels of Choralier and above receive a plaque
and free tickets to each concert.
In-kind Support
- Some businesses are able to provide an in-kind service such as
printing, accounting, etc. A donation of this
service is treated as a donation of an equivalent monetary
amount. The donor may choose to either be listed as a normal
patron or can receive special mention in the season's programs.
These
options provide a variety of ways for civic-minded persons and
corporations to support the Tampa Oratorio Singers thereby
enriching the cultural climate of the
Tampa Bay area. Of
course, all donations to the Tampa Oratorio Singers (a 501(c)(3)
organization) are tax-deductible.
