About Tampa Oratorio Singers

Who We Are

Tampa Oratorio Singers is an auditioned concert chorus, comprised of talented volunteer singers (some multi-generational) from all walks of life encompassing the entire Tampa Bay area.

We provide Tampa Bay area music lovers with the opportunity to perform and hear the music of the great choral masters, with an emphasis on their major works. Some works from the chorus’ repertoire are:
  • Beethoven's Mass in C major
  • Handel's Dixit Dominus
  • Handel's Messiah
  • Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna
  • Dvorak’s Stabat Mater and Te Deum
  • Bach’s St. Matthew Passion
  • Durufle’s Requiem
  • Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms
  • Orff’s Carmina Burana
  • Mozart’s Requiem
  • Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass
  • Verdi's Requiem
For the 2024-2025 season The Tampa Oratorio Singers will be performing Mozart's Great Mass in C Minor, Handel's Messiah, and announcing the return of our Carols of the Season concert. In the spring you can look forward to a Benefit Concert featuring several TOS members who have extraordinary musical talent in many forms and in April we will be performing Brahms' Requiem.  Most of the concerts this season will be performed on both sides of the bay; so, be sure to check the Performances page to purchase your ticket for a location near you.

Our Future

The Tampa Oratorio Singers will continue to serve the Tampa Bay community with excellence in choral singing by presenting multiple concerts at various locations around the Tampa Bay area. The performances will include instrumental accompaniment ranging from piano or organ to small orchestral ensembles to full orchestra. Soloists will be chosen from among the finest talent available.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of The Tampa Oratorio Singers is to uplift, inspire, and enrich our diverse Tampa Bay community through the power of enduring choral classics performed with artistic excellence.
